BAO, Building Advice Online, is a Building and Construction Advisory service in the first instance. The service is designed for the various sectors of the community and professionals:
• trades people
• the general public
• businesses
• Owner-builders
BAO is a knowledge-based business, (Questions & Answers) where legal construction & building laws of Australia and practical construction & building methodology workflow are combined, which allows BAO to answer relevant building & construction questions from our members / client’s.
The answers area delivered by qualified trade professionals that have been specifically trained to answer in a controlled legal, professional, and regulated manner.

As a qualified trades person you will have the opportunity to earn up to $120.00 per hour just being on the phone giving professional advice.
Must able to converse in a professional manner giving advice in your trade.
You will be dealing with the general public and other trade professionals.
Requirements
Your structure will need to be a company.
Professional public liability.
Engaged as a contractor.
Police Check
Credit Check
Remuneration:
Paid weekly
Income is based on calls taken & time spent with each user.
Training:
You will be trained on the procedures in both how to use the app and how to answer a call.
General Public - This app is designed to connect the General Public with a trade qualified professional to give accurate, reliable, and professional answers about building and construction questions in a fast and professional manner.
This might be to check if what the tradesperson has told them is the correct procedure and are wanting to understand the costs behind the works involved.
In many cases the General Public do not understand what the tradesperson has told them, the trades person has spoken to the customer as if they too are a trades person therefore the customer is left feeling totally lost.
Even if a customer gets a quotation they feel as though they need a second opinion, just to ensure what is in the quote is correct and covers everything that needs to be covered.
It is amazing how many people really do not understand what they are getting into, they want to know where the cost comes from, and unfortunately, they are not as trusting as the General Public once was towards the various trades.
Trade - For the tradesperson, this could be to check something in the NCC National Construction Code or previously known as the Building Code Of Australia or to check how something is to be done because they have not done that particular job before.
They cannot afford to waste significant time in finding an answer to a question especially when they are charging anywhere between $65.00 - $120.00 per hour and cannot charge the client for that time.
Building Advice Online has a number of Q&A delivery platforms and modes:

Many people work in various platforms of delivery. In the trade most would work utilising the mobile phone, where business would mostly work with laptop or computers, and the General Public would work across both.
The necessity of being able to deliver the best possible experience to our member / client is to ensure we have the best technology on both platforms delivering the best service.

Each platform and mode of delivery needs to have ongoing and critically assessed analysis to ensure that the platforms and mode failure is kept to a minimum. Our structure of delivery is paramount to the creditability of our service
Modes Explained
• Live call
The BAO member will be able to choose the required professional via the app and will be diverted to a live voice connection.
The member will be charged according to their membership level.
• Live Steam
Live Stream gives the BAO trade professional the ability to see the issues live and be able to qualify the issue and give the appropriate answer.
Not all live streaming will be able to supply on the spot answers, therefore email services will then be more appropriate.
Email is used for the those that have more detailed questions that require more detailed answers. The app will have a form which the member will fill out.
The form will be created so only the relevant information will be collected from the member in such a way to best supply the correct answer.
The member will be charged according to their membership level.
This Code of Practice is to be observed and practised by all BAO Advisors / Consultants.
This code of practice & ethics is for the protection of Building Advice Online Advisors / Consultants and their clients, which maintains the prestige of Building Advice Online.
The confidentiality and responsible nature of a Building Advice Online Advisors / Consultant's duties requires the upholding of this Code of Practice, Ethics, and the enhancement of the profession.
